Do you ever
wonder and worry about what the future will hold? Do you find yourself just a
little (or a lot) tense and on edge, feeling as if everything under your feet
is turning from solid ground into bog and quicksand?
When you are forced
to adjust to changes beyond your control it is easy to grow frightened, fatigued,
and weary. You just want all these
negative things that are happening to stop. You may feel rootless, uneasy, abandoned.
Our societal foundations: people, government, relatives, church family, friends, and work have all been impacted and we no longer have the ability to reach out to others in person when
we are in need.
Yet, in all of
this there is someone who has not changed—God. He still loves you, He still cares for you,
He understands how you are suffering. He is with you in and through all of this and wants you to give your worries and fears to Him. But how?
By putting your
trust in Him.
“Blessed are
those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence.” (Jeremiah
17:7, NLT)
God wants you to trust in Him alone and step out in faith and
assurance. He is with you and will provide for you. Are not the cattle on a thousand hills His? Can
He not move mountains to meet your need? Whatever you are facing, it is not greater than God.
“Fear not for I
am with you.” (Isaiah 41:10, NKJV)
